Join our team of volunteer readers
With over 5000 submissions coming in every year, we are always looking for volunteer readers to add to our editorial team. If you are interested in reading with us, or want more information on what joining our team of readers is all about, please contact our editor Emily Holland at poetlore@writer.org.
Our team members come from all backgrounds and experience levels, allowing us to curate our issues with all readers in mind. We regret that we cannot offer payment for this position at this time, but in some select cases we may be able to fulfill internship requirements.

Come to a virtual event
With The Writer’s Center, Poet Lore hosts Virtual Craft Chats with poets each month. Focusing on the craft of writing, rather than the content, these chats are intimate hours between poets and our editor Emily Holland.

The Writer’s Center hosts in-person, zoom, and asynchronous creative writing workshops for writers of all levels and experience. Workshops are a great way to hone your craft and extend your literary community. Occasionally, contributors and editors teach workshops, as well!
